Hello, everyone!  My name is Hannah, and I'm a classical singer from New York City, currently pursuing my post-graduate studies in the UK.

I first became curious about male companionship and started researching it in 2015.  I found a website for Australian companion John Oh, and that led me to the Concierge Companion Forum.  Although once very vibrant and active, the CdM has been very quiet recently.  That's a real shame as it was such a great resource.  I hope this community can grow and flourish and carry the torch forward!

I had my first experience with a companion in 2017, and it was wonderful.  I think this is a service that could help so many women and couples lead happier, more satisfying lives.

Oh! Do you do opera? What's your favorite song to sing? Your most challenging?

Hi, Maxime!

Yes, I do opera sometimes.  Mostly, I'm a professional choir girl, in that I sing in professional ensembles, but I'm also a soloist.  My favorite composer is Johann Sebastian Bach, and his music is my favorite to sing.  My favorite song of his is from his St. Matthew Passion, and it's in German.  It's called "Erbarme dich," which basically means "forgive me."  It's so beautiful.  You can find tons of recordings online.  Here's a particularly good one.

Hi Alex!

Hannah, Erbarme Dich is really sad. I love Bach too. One of the few song I know of him (beside the 9 Symphonies) and one of my favorite classic piece is the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.

Cheers,
Max.

Ooh, great choice, Maxime!

One of the things I love about Bach is how universally his music is loved and interpreted.  Are you familiar with Chris Thile?  He got a MacArthur Genius Grant to record all of the Bach partitas on mandolin.  They're amazing.

I also found the most gorgeous recording of 'Erbarme dich' in Arabic:   https://youtu.be/SUj3LEiMEKE
