I'd love to start a discussion about people's favorite podcasts! There are so many now on so may different topics that it's impossible to keep track of them all. Let me know about some of your favorites. Here are a few of mine:
1. This American Life - amazing hour-long weekly non-fiction show produced by Chicago Public Radio. Presents three or four stories (or "acts") on one topic or theme.
2. Serial - wonderful investigative journalism series narrating one non-fiction story over several episodes. The first season was about the controversial conviction of a teenaged boy for his girlfriend's mysterious death.
3. S-Town - like Serial, another investigative journalism podcast following the curious life of an eccentric clock-restorer in rural Alabama. Absolutely riveting!
4. RadioLab - another non-fiction documentary podcast that blends science and storytelling. It regularly makes me cry in a good way.
I've certainly heard high praise for Serial and listening to it is on my to-do list.
Another good one is The Moth, ( https://themoth.org/podcast) which is anybody with an interesting story to tell being given a platform to tell it to an audience. There are some fascinating stories on there.
